Gunpowder Milkshake (R) Action comedy – Karen Gillan, daughter of an elite international assassin, follows in her mother’s footsteps. With Lena Headey, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett and Carla Gugino. Distaff John Wick. On Netflix July 14.

On DVD – Two from Arrow Video

Major Dundee (PG-13, 1964) Sam Peckinpah’s “other” great Western (made right before The Wild Bunch) has had a checkered history with studio interference, radical editing, and limited availability. The new edition from Arrow Video has both the theatrical release and the extended version, plus oodles of extras.

Years of Lead: Five Classic Italian Crime Thrillers 1973-1977 (not rated) With the international success of Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry, Italian filmmakers created their own brand of tough, violent police dramas. These films have been impossible to find in this country until this new DVD set from Arrow Video. Contents: Savage Three, Like Rabid Dogs, Colt 38, Highway Racer, No Case Is Happily Resolved.

Old (PG-13) Horror – In the latest from M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense), Gael Garcia Bernal’s vacationing family discovers a secluded beach where they begin to age rapidly. This was not mentioned in the brochure.
